Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts to Mechatronic and Information Technology Journal (MITJ). All submitted manuscripts must be relevant to the journal’s aims and scope and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Aims and Scope

Mechatronic and Information Technology Journal (MITJ) publishes high-quality scientific articles in, but not limited to, the following fields:

Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts:

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official MITJ article template. Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian and should contain the following components:

- Title

- Author(s) Information

- Abstract

- Keywords

- Introduction

- Research Methodology

- Results and Discussion

- Conclusion

- References

Submission Procedure

  1. Register an author account on the MITJ website.
  2. Log in to the journal system.
  3. Select "New Submission".
  4. Complete all metadata information accurately.
  5. Upload the manuscript file using the journal template.
  6. Submit the manuscript for editorial evaluation.

Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to ensure conformity with the journal scope and formatting requirements.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will proceed to a Double-Blind Peer Review process involving at least two independent reviewers. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure objectivity and fairness.

Based on reviewer recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may decide to:

- Accept Submission

- Accept with Minor Revisions

- Request Major Revisions

- Reject Submission

The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Publication Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

- The manuscript is original.

- The manuscript has not been published previously.

- The manuscript is not under review by another journal.

- All listed authors have contributed significantly to the work.

- All sources and references are properly cited.

- Any copyrighted materials used in the manuscript have obtained appropriate permissions.

Plagiarism Screening

All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review stage. Manuscripts with a high similarity index or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected.

Open Access Policy

MITJ provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All published articles can be accessed, downloaded, and shared freely for academic and non-commercial purposes.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:

- The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

- The manuscript follows the MITJ article template and formatting guidelines.

- The title, abstract, keywords, tables, figures, and references are complete and properly formatted.

- References have been checked for accuracy and completeness.

- All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

- Similarity checking requirements have been fulfilled.

- Any necessary permissions for copyrighted materials have been obtained.

- The manuscript falls within the scope of Mechatronic and Information Technology Journal (MITJ).
