PERANCANGAN DAN IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM SMART LAUNDRY BERBASIS INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) MENGGUNAKAN ESP32

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has encouraged the implementation of automation systems in various fields, including laundry services. Operational processes that are still carried out manually have the potential to cause monitoring errors, delays in information delivery, and low management efficiency. This study aims to design and implement an IoT-based Smart Laundry system using ESP32, capable of monitoring and controlling devices in real time via the Internet. The system uses ESP32 as the main control unit, Firebase Realtime Database as a data exchange medium, an LDR sensor to detect lighting conditions, an infrared sensor to detect door status, a relay as a load controller, and Arduino IDE as the software development environment. Testing includes WiFi connectivity, Firebase connectivity, device activation, LDR sensor validation, countdown operation, door detection, door locking (interlock), and relay response time. The test results show that the system can connect to WiFi and Firebase stably, control devices according to commands, and monitor system status in real time with fast response. This system can improve monitoring effectiveness, ease of operation, and management efficiency of laundry services.
